With the festive season fast approaching I’m delighted to be bringing back for another year my Favourite Festive Things - a collection of gorgeous gifts for the flower lover.

Lets. Dive. In!

This veritable festive treat features works by Nobuyoshi Araki, Cecil Beaton, Georg Ehret, David Hockney, Horst P. Horst, Nick Knight, Yayoi Kusama, Leonardo da Vinci, Robert Mapplethorpe, Henri Matisse, Claude Monet, Cedric Morris, William Morris, Georgia O'Keeffe, Irving Penn, David Hockney, Pierre-Joseph Redouté, Rachel Ruysch and Constance Spry. (£29.00)

2 - The Joseph Massie E-Book Collection - one of our most popular releases this year has been this sweet little collection, featuring the The Principles & Elements of Floral Design E-Book, and The Golden Ratio & 3:5:8 in Floral Design E-Book also. If you’re looking for a comprehensive guide into the fundamentals of floral design, this Collection of two e-books is one not to be missed. ($35.00)

3 - Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas in my household without the elegant, fruity scent of Diptyque ‘Baies’ to bring some warmth throughout this dreariest of years. Shop yours today to fill your home with the most festive of fragrances.

4 - ‘Floos - The Crafters Secret’ is the highly sought after first book from the Floos Collective, of which Joseph is a founding member. Featuring 268 pages of 24 highly detailed floral step-by-steps from 8 master floral artists, including: Joseph Massie, Brigitte Heinrichs, Carles Fontanillas, Daniel Santamaria, Natalia Zizko, Berit Skjottgaard Laursen, Alex Segura and Bea Beroy. Packed with detailed technical information, high resolution imagery, and step-by-step annotation to accompany each and every design, this book truly is truly the perfect gift for any serious flower lover. (£45.00)

5 - Decadent? Yep. Luxurious? Yep. But totally worth it? Very, very much so. This Jo Malone Advent Calendar is ticking all of our boxes this Christmas. (£320.00)

6 - Crackers don’t have to be boring, and Cox & Cox show us how to up your game in the cracker department. The handmade Moon & Stars edition, in black and gold, are a particular favourite. (From £50.00)

7 - If you’ve a budding flower lover in your life, two affordable yet incredibly handy books are the Cut Flower and Cut Foliage Guides, available from our Flower School. Filled with a plethora of the most popular cut flowers and foliages, these invaluable guides detail the qualities of the flora, alongside how to condition them for best results. An absolute staple. (£17.99 each)

8 - ‘Steal Like An Artist’ by Austin Kleon - When asked to talk to students at Broome Community College, Austin Kleon wrote a simple list often things he wished he'd heard when he was their age: 'Steal like an artist; Don't wait until you know who you are to start making things; Use your hands and Side projects are important’ etc. After giving the speech, he posted the text and slides to his popular blog, where it quickly went viral. Now Kleon has expanded his original manifesto into an illustrated guide to the creative life for writers, artists, entrepreneurs, designers, photographers, musicians, and anyone attempting to make things - art, a career, a life - in the digital age. Brief, direct, and visually interactive, the book includes illustrative anecdotes and mini-exercise sections calling out practical actions readers can take to unleash their own creative spirits. (£8.00)

9 - My favourite brand of snips are absolute must haves for the year ahead - you just can’t go wrong with ARS Secatuers. They also have a fabulous companion pair of mini scissors too - just perfect for more delicate bridal work.

10 - Experience the wonder of Basic Architecture : Zaha Hadid and her audacious futurism. The forward-thinking work of a singular architect Zaha Hadid is a wildly controversial architect, who for many years built almost nothing, despite her designs winning prizes and critical acclaim. Some even said her work was unbuildable. Yet over the past decade she has completed numerous structures including the Rosenthal Center for Contemporary Art in Cincinnati (which the New York Times called the most important new building in America since the Cold War ), theMAXXI Museum in Rome, the Guangzhou Opera House, her first completed project in China, and theLondon Aquatics Center for the 2012 Olympics. This little gem of a book (£8.00) is the perfect introduction into this visionary’s work.

11 - The Classics Collection is one of my favourite online course bundles that we’ve ever, ever created. Featuring the The Classic Hand Tied Bouquet, The Classic Centrepiece and The Classic Bridal Bouquet, this trio of deliciousness will help you master three of the most popular designs a floral designer will ever, ever have to create. Invest in the goodness. ($249.00)

12 - Daniel Ost: Floral Art and the Beauty of Impermanence is one of my favourite design books of all time, as for the very first time it helped me see just what floral art and design could be. 440 pages of brilliance for £40.00. It quite frankly sounds like a bargain to me.

13 - These delicious embroidered napkins from The Embroidered Napkin Company are just gorgeous, and start from just £16.00 each. Do check them out, and order before December 1st if you want yo guarentee yours before Christmas.

14 - Love Handles have never been cooler - especially when you can have them as a vase to arrange your flowers in. Shop yours today at The Conran Shop.

15 - This rather smart Pleat Vase from LSA, available at Harvey Nichols, is the perfect bud vase for those Spring bulb blooms which you’ll be coveting come January …

16 - Finally, I hear on the grapevine that a delectable collection of Fine Art Prints are now available from your very favourite floral artist. Do be sure to check them out here.

Enjoy!
