When I started out in my floral career - aged 16 - I was incredibly lucky. In the floristry industry at the time there were countless design competitions, floral organisations and publications, all of which offered plenty of opportunities for a new floral designer, just starting out on their path. Eighteen years later, and the industry does not quite offer the same opportunities, which is one of the key reasons I’m committed to publishing frequently on our blog, Youtube channel and podcast … but I decided I wanted to offer more to our community - hence my free mini courses.

Hi, I'm Joseph!

I'm the creative behind Flower Class, a revolutionary online learning platform for floral designers.  I am also an artist, digital creator, podcaster, author and entrepreneur.  You might know me from my #1 Best Seller book, The Flower School  or my, quite frankly hilarious podcast, Flowers After Hours.  Perhaps you happened upon a free tutorial on YouTube and felt inspired to have a go yourself.  However you have ended up here, if you love flowers and want to have a go at creating beautiful designs yourself, you are in the right place!

 I began my floral journey, probably as naively and clueless as any beginner could be.  At 14, I wanted a job, any job, and I could not have imagined that I had stumbled into my dream career.  I knew less than nothing about flowers, and now, as a floral creative I've been so privileged throughout my career to exhibit and win at some of the world's most incredible floral shows - including winning five gold medals at the Chelsea Flower Show.  Privileged to design and teach around the World, from museums and art galleries to the White House.  And now privileged to invite you to begin your floral journey too.
